The second edition of 2CO has taken place in La Laguna, Tenerife last November, to continue an investigation on the new communication landscape that embraces approaches, strategies and methodologies for making complex contents accessible through design.

The Tenerife 2CO_two edition continued the very successful path initiated in 2013 in Alghero, gathering scholars, professionals and students from the international design community, engaged in the exploration of new ways to inform, communicate and disseminate technical, scientific, social and environmental content.
An international group of professionals, scholars, students, educators and young designers, gathered in Tenerife to share projects, experiences, points of views and methodologies to shape what has become a vast and challenging interdisciplinary field on professional and research activity.
For this edition a new ‘informative environments’ topic, aimed at encompassing projects that explore the potential of the dimension of space and of interactivity to convey information was added to the three original main area of interest: informative-animation; interactive data visualization; info-graphics.
The 2017 Conference also hosted a series of short intensive design workshops, exploring the didactic issues associated with the many educational issues connected with communicating complexity.
After having being reviewed by the scientific committee through a double blind process, the submitted abstracts where presented during the Conference. Here, the scientific committee selected the presentations to be developed as full papers and published.
As for the first edition the Conference’s book will be an ISBN publication (in English)
